Role Description

Fidelity’s Finance Procurement & Accounting IT Technology (FPAIT) organization is looking for an individual to take a Software Engineering role in our Data Management framework for CTG-wide utilization. This position will help drive technical solutions and lead initiatives which use state of the art Data Management technologies.

The Associate Software Engineer will design and develop Data Management solutions for critical applications. The primary toolsets will be Informatica Data Quality and Informatica MetaData Manager & Business Glossary.

Design, develop, test and implement complex Data Quality solutions in support of business initiatives across corporate functions using Informatica’s Data Quality
Design, develop, test and implement Metadata solutions in support of business initiatives across corporate functions using Informatica’s Metadata Manager and Business Glossary

Enhance, update, and improve current metadata information from multiple internal data environments, and integrate with metadata from additional data sources
Provide scalable, fit-for-purpose metadata and data quality designs for data projects
Introduce innovative solutions to solve complex metadata and data quality challenges
Provide hands-on technology support to the project teams and development community

Author and adopt best practices, patterns and reusable components for metadata and data quality
Build strong working relationships with Data Product owners, architects and developers
Work independently on assigned tasks and deliver high quality results on time

Candidate Description

Demonstrated experience designing and optimizing data quality solutions using Informatica Data Quality (Developer and Analyst tools)
Demonstrated experience designing and optimizing metadata solutions using Informatica Metadata Manager and Business Glossary
Experience working with successful enterprise managed data quality and metadata efforts
Solid understanding of Data Quality and Metadata processes and methods
Ability to design and document a data quality capture and analysis process
Strong data analysis skills, including documenting quality rules, data definitions, data lineage and flows between systems
Unix scripting
Strong knowledge of the following:
- Relational Database
- Various BI tools
- Various ETL tools
Hands-on development experience with ANSI- SQL, Oracle PL/SQL and other Query languages

Working Knowledge of other Informatica products (PowerCenter, Data Explorer, etc.)
Working Knowledge of data modeling and database design tools like Power Designer/Erwin
Knowledge of big data platforms like Hadoop, and No-SQL and relevant data Ingestion methods
