Description
This requirement is for system engineers in
the Advanced System Engineering lab (ASEL) in Bangalore; ASEL is a key
technology centric group in the HP BladeSystem Engineering business. The
lab is focused on building and delivering differentiating solutions for
HP’s server portfolio that will contribute to the multi-billion dollar
revenues of the HP Server portfolio.
This is an opportunity to be involved in the development and
validation of manageability solutions in areas of HP converged
infrastructure, particularly servers. This involves usage of multiple
Web/Java technologies (REST, Java frameworks such as Spring) to build
products and solutions around the next generation HP servers. The role
requires broad expertise across different technology domains in the
Systems Engineering aspects such as system management, virtualization,
server imaging and provisioning, You will be exposed to many aspects of
the HP systems portfolio and will participate in the roadmap for
enabling key features of next generation HP servers and data center
management solutions.
Description
Designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs
for software enhancements and new products. Develops software including
operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases
and Internet-related tools. Determines hardware compatibility and/or
influences hardware design.
Responsibilities
- Codes and programs enhancements, updates, and changes for portions and subsystems of systems software, including operating systems, compliers, networking, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools
- Executes established test plans and protocols for assigned portions of code; identifies, logs, and debugs assigned issues.
- Develops understanding of and relationship with internal and outsourced development partners on software systems design and development.
- Participates as a member of project team of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for low to moderately-complex products.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years experience
Knowledge and Skills
- Experience or understanding of software systems design tools and languages.
- Good analytical and problem solving skills.
- Understanding of design for software systems running on multiple platform types
- Understanding of basic testing, coding, and debugging procedures
- Good written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
- Good Programming/troubleshooting Skills
- Experience with Core JAVA (& JUnit test development) / PYTHON
- HTML5, Jscript, REST interface development
- AGILE development methodology
