Today the team covers multiple technologies in remote infrastructure support covering production, engineering, application and database support. EI India plays a key role in global workforce augmentation and supports all the EI verticals, including 24X7 operations in some areas. The team’s endeavour has been to provide increased value to our partners through operational excellence and innovation with a focus on stability.

Role Description:

Job responsibilities include:

·         24/7 production support for  middleware technology like IBM Websphere Application Server  ,IBM Websphere MQ , Apache, Tomcat,Iplanet on Unix platform.

·         Follow ITIL process and supporting customer  on arriving at accurate root cause analysis and impact analysis

·         Implementation of changes in production infrastructure

·         Maintaining availability of environments and sending availability notifications to stakeholders

·         Involve in building out new application server environments as well as migration projects for servers hosting our applications

·         Automation initiatives

Candidate Description

·         Middleware skills - Web Sphere Application Server , Web Server, Tomcat,Iplanet,ZOS

·         Unix basics knowledge on one or more of these flavours – Linux, Solaris 10, AIX

·         Usage of monitoring tools such as Sites cope, Coradiant, Gomez, Splunk

·         Knowledge of loadbalancing systems such as BigIP, 3DNS

·         Knowledge of network basics

·         Knowledge of production support policies such as incident, change and problem management

·         Unix and Shell scripting and automation exposer

Behavioural attributes

·         Good verbal and written communication skills

·         Good interpersonal skills, ability to maintain good working relationships with India and onsite partner teams

·         Must be able to act as a team player as well as work independently

·         Must be a quick learner and adapt to new tools and technologies

Qualifications

 

·         BE or Bachelor’s Degree

·         1 to 3years of experience
