About Role & Responsibilities
As an individual technical contributor in the Motorola Bangalore team, you influence the overall architecture and work on design and development of the cutting edge applications and experiences on android platform based products
As an android software engineer, you will be responsible for building next generation of mobile application experiences working closely with motorola android platform & integration team, cloud platform & services team, product management team and consumer experience team. You will also be responsible for conceptualization, design, implementation, deployment and support of software experiences across all motorola products, leveraging your deep android platform knowledge & expertise in android apps development

Desired Skills and Experience
Must Have:
- B Tech/M Tech from top universities/colleges with high academics
- 0-2 years of hands-on experience in developing software on mobile platforms (Android, Linux, Symbian, Windows etc.,)
- Excellent knowledge of android architecture & framework, android components & controls
- Good working experience on android application development with Java , Android SDK, Eclipse, Android debugger etc.,
- Deep knowledge of Linux concepts of multithreading, scheduling, IPC, memory management
- Excellent debugging skills in terms of analyzing call trace logs, crash dumps etc., and hands on experience of debugging tools like GDB, Trace32
- Excellent knowledge on OOPS, OOAD and design patterns
- Excellent communication, collaboration and teamwork skills
- High energy, self initiative and positive attitude
Passion for innovation and good industry technical knowledge
- Good understanding of Java Script, shell script and XML parser
- Good working experience on Web Service Integration (SOAP, REST, API, XML)
- Good working experience on SQLite, MySQL, XML, JSON
- Working experience with server side development - GAE, GCM, Tomcat etc. would be nice to have
